Miss Hadley got baptized on Father's Day. For Baptism Hadley wore the same dress that both my sister and I wore. My mom has had it under her bed for 30 years. When we pulled it out it had yellowed a little and the elastic was out in the sleeves. But, we all know Nana D.W. is amazing with washing and stains (among lots of other things). A little oxyclean later it was as white as it was brand new and she had someone she knew fix the elastic. Hadley also had a gold braclet on her wrist. Sara and I also wore it for out baptsim as well, however, it was origanlly Nana V.P.'s braclet that she got from her grnadparents when she was a baby. The braclet is over 80 years old and has stayed safe in the safety deposit box since we wore is 30 years ago. It was a wonderful day we got to spend with family. We had so many family members join us a church to witness the baptism and then had a nice lunch at our house afterwards.
Grandma Voss even came down from Colorado for 2 weeks. It was so wonderful having her here, she is always so much fun. She came over to our house a few days from dinner, we went to the park and we even went to the casino one night. Thought we should have a belated birthday celebration for my 30th and her 75th. It was great!!
When I look at you being a dad to our children,
my heart swells with gratitude and pride,
I find myself sitting in a corner, admiring you be your natural self,
being in your comfort zone of daddy hood.
I feel so blessed to have a husband like you
I am so thankful that my children are blessed
with a father as caring, thoughtful, and supportive as you
It must be Our Heavenly Father looking out for me.
He knew we would compliment each other
so he blessed us with each other
I want to thank you for always putting our children's interest first!
