Back to the fire station

On a warm summer night we were looking for something to do.  Uncle Stan was working so we thought we would head down to the fire station.  When we went a few months ago Brayden was a little scared of the whole thing, but this time he LOVED it.

Another 4 have come and gone

That is right, Miss H is 3 months old.  And she continues to grow and grow.  We don't take her to the doctor this month, but according to us she weighs 15.5 lbs.  OH MY!  We have a little girl at our church that just turned 9 months and only weighs 16 lbs.  and we have 2 little ones that were born 2 weeks ago and they are both in the 7 lbs range I believe. Our sweet girl looks big to all those babies.   I will say it again, like I did with Brayden, I swear my breastmilk is straight cream.  I bet I would make some good money selling the stuff!! :-)  But our little chunky monkey is still as sweet as ever.  She smiles all day long and is very laid back.  She goes to bed at 8 only wakes up once between 2-3 to eat, them wakes up at 6 eats again and sleeps until 8.  Then she naps at 10ish & 2 ish and a 30 minute power nap at 6.  Now if we could get B to sleep better.  That boy is SCARED horrified of the dark, and it is getting worse the last few days.  We are up with him more than Hadley.  I feel bad and don't know what else to do or try.

It is still hot and we have had a few record days.  I  hate to admit it, but I have fallen in love with PINTEREST, I don't think I gave it a fair shot at first, but I have learned to adore it.  I've already finished a few projects too.  Having said that, the biggest thing I do and look for is stuff to do with Brayden and get my house in order and on a doable schedule.  I like routine and consistency and I have struggles to find it.  I have finally put together a family binder with all kids of stuff and am making a list of stuff for Brayden and I to do, the teacher in me will lesson plan til I die, even if it is for 2 year old activities and cleaning! :-)

We are looking forward to camping over Labor Day again.  Hopefully it will work out.  I think I have a much better handle on it this time, we will have tent trailer, and I am thinking positive.  It is all about perspective right?  My boys love it, and I am trying to learn to.

Here are the pictures from the month...  Oh and Hadley did roll over, but now doesn't feel like it, and as much as she smiles, I'd think I get a hearty laugh, but I wait....

"Catching" Stars with the original star catcher, Grandma Bolkema
*cute story, Grandma Bolkema used to "catch" stars with the Grandkids when they were little. She would have candy star sprinkles in her pocket, run and jump then throw the stars on the ground ( because they were to hot to hold) for the kids to collect.  Then they would go inside and put them on their ice cream to eat.  Well Jason's mom started doing this with Brayden about 6 months ago.  But, Brayden wears Jason's old wooden shoes as his star cathcing shoes, and Grandma hold onto the hot stars and put them in a bag Brayden is holding.  ( We have to be sanitary now and not eat food off the ground! :-) ) He loves it!  So it was a special treat when Grandma Bolkema was here and could catch stars with him.  EVERYONE went outside to watch
Whole milk, drops of food coloring, and a toothpick with soap

Baking soda, colored vinegar, and a dropper

 Making a garden

We built a fort at Auntie Sara's while we had to watch Drew one day

Later that day B woke up really early from his nap.  I was feeding H so he went behind my chair.  I was talking to him and then we stopped responding. I turned around a saw this.  Slept against the wall for and hour. (On a side note, he wave been binky free for over a week, HOORAY!!)
Went to take a picture and came back to find this. Apparently my children didn't want to sleep in there beds this day.  She slept until he woke her up, Ugh!

Shaving cream and food coloring:  The first one is Jason's not B's :-)

Free fun at Bass Pro Shop
Helping B with the Thomas seek and find
Uncle Davis' old Halloween costume.  I mentioned that I wanted B to be a dinosaur for Halloween  because he loves to roar and stomp, All The TIME! But I didn't know if he would be to hot, and I wanted to find an inexpensice way to make one.  Low and behold, leave it to my mother in law to save the day, she made this for Davis a long time ago and it is made out of what feels like sheets.  He loves it and I love it.  So you all are getting a preview of October.

While talking Hadley's 3 month picture by the bear, he wanted in on it too!
