9 Months old

OK, so she was 9 months old 2 weeks ago, but hey that is pretty good for me.  Miss Hadley is 21 lbs and 24.5 inches.  She starting walking this week, but not all the time.  She usually takes a few steps then realizes she is a lot faster crawling.  She gets 4 bottles a day, 3 meals, and 2 snacks.  Her sleeping is so much better than B ever was, she goes goes down at 7:30 and sleep until 6:30-7:15 and naps at 10 & 2:30.  She has the sweetest personality and still very laid back.  We work hard for giggles and smiles but when we get them, they are big smiles and genuine belly laughs.

It is hard to believe that in 2.5 months she will be turning one, it has gone so fast.  But, the good news is that I have starting planning for her party!!

We call Miss Hadley Renae  "Nae Nae"  So while we were at the zoo we thought we should take her picture by the NeNE Geese!

Valentines Day

Valentines Day was pretty mellow.  I didn't make heart pancakes, didn't buy the kids fancy valentines, but we still had a great day and spent some great time together.  We started the day going to to zoo.  (Found out that carnivores get bones on Thursday so we saw a lot of animals that aren't always out.  But they were attacking bones and meat, little gross. :-) ) Then we headed home for the afternoon.  When Jason got home he headed to the mall, had dinner in the food court, and took the kids to Build a Bear.  Brayden has been asking to make one so I thought it would be the perfect thing to do.  We kept it a surprise until we were walking up to the store.

Brayden: "mom, member how Drew got a puppy and I gave him a bath?  I want to do that sometime, can I do it for your birthday?"
Me:  "What if this was your valentine surprise, cause it is."
Brayden: " This is my surprise?  Daddy I get to make a puppy like Drew.  This is the best surprise ever, I love you mommy, thank you"
Me: (In my head )- "mission complete"

We spoiled the kids because we knew our weekend away was just a day away.

Since Hadley has moved to a bottle, I have had in my head that Jason and I need a weekend away.  We haven't gone anywhere alone since our honeymoon.  That will be 4 years in June.  So since Jason's birthday was the 17th and it was a long weekend, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity.  Plus my mom volunteered to watch the kids.  WE HAD AN AMAZING TIME!!
We got to Sedona Friday evening.  We checked into the hotel, grabbed a quick dinner at Wildflower Bread Co., picked up drinks and a movie, and had a relaxing evening.  Saturday morning we slept in, had breakfast, hiked, found the cutest deli for lunch, relaxed at the hotel, and headed to Enchantment Resort for Jason's birthday dinner.  After dinner we rented another movie and ended the night in front of the fire.  (First time I had seen a movie in over a year, sad, I know).  We slept in again Sunday morning, well 7:30, that is pretty good for us, especially since it is uninterrupted, had breakfast, shopped, had lunch and headed home to out little ones.  It was great, wish it could have been longer, but I missed B & H.  I only called to check in 4 times.  :-)
