2 months already!

This sweet little girl is 2 months old  And sweet she is.  She is a very good baby and is eating and sleeping so much better that B at this age, but as big as he was.  She weighs 13lbs 15 oz,  the nurse said she is one ffeding away from 15 lbs. :-)  We all love her and are so glad that she is here!  .  Here are some picture from the past month:

Dressed and ready to go out

I was cleaning up lunch and turned around to find this, guess it's nap time

Fell asleep "playing"

We took the kids to Mesa Museum for Youth.
They have great exhibits with animals right now, very fun!

Sticker room: you get a pack of stickers when you pay and can go in the room and put them anywhere.  Just hope he doesn't think that applies at home too! :-)

Miss Hadleys opinion of the museum.  Don't think she even knew we left the house

"But I love her Mom"

Brayden loves Hadley!
He loves her to the point of smothering! :-)  If I am nursing her, he comes and stands right by me and rubs her head and lays his head on hers.  She doesn't like it.  If she is on the floor, he lays almost of top of her, rubs her head, and talks 1 inch from her face.  She doesn't like it.  If she is in the bouncy chair, he tries to wrap her arm around her and rubs her head.  She doesn't like it.   80% of my day is spend telling Brayden to stop touching his sister and to back up so she can she his whole face he is making her nervous.  And without a doubt his response is, But I love her mom.  It is very sweet that he loves her, but it stresses the poor baby out, I guess she will get used to it.  Then if someone is holding her and she isn't crying he says, "I hold her".  If you say not right now, his response is "I never get to hold her".  When he does get to hold her, he always says "take a picture, *smile*, CHEESE"  He is a little dramatic and funny to be honest.  We have some crazy days around here.

Water Water Everywhere

It has been a HOT summer.  So we have been spending a lot of time in the water.  Brayden got a blow up pool for his birthday that has been a big hit with all of the boys.  We also have been swimming in Grandpa and Grandma Voss' pool of Sunday when we go there for dinner.  It has been a much needed relief from the heat.

So having said that, we decided B needed to learn how to swim.  He is our gentle soul and doesn't like to try new things because he always says, "I scared".  Even if he doesn't understand or know he will tell us he is scared, give the lip, eyes fill with tears, and that is that.  Well, swimming is not an option.   I would rather have him cry then drowned.  So Sara and I signed the boys up for a swimming class in the backyard of someone my sister was recommended from another friend.  B likes to do whatever Zach does so we figured it would help.  We were told that most kids cry the first 3 days, but not to worry.  Well there are 5 kids in the class and all of them but Zach pretty much screamed the entire 50 minutes.  My first thought was what do the neighbors think.  Sara had to keep my calm and took a few picture for me.  I couldn't quiet handle watching my baby drowned  swim while he screamed.  The 2nd day was better and they even dove to the bottom of the pool to pick up rings, while whimpering.  The 3rd day was 4th of July so Jason was home, I sent him!  He came home and said I was making it all up.  None of the kids cried and they all did great.  WHAT?  Well, I go back today and will see if he is lying. We have 6 more days to go.  However, last night they were playing in the pool and B keep jumping in the water face first and trying to swim.  Amazing!!

We got some glow sticks in the dollar section at Target the other day. My mom saw an idea on pinterest with kids playing with the glow sticks in the tub. Brayden loved it, he was in the tub 45 min.
I totally recommend it.

4th of July

We had a pretty relaxed 4th.  My family came over around 4:30, we had a BBQ, the boys played, we went for a walk, and just hung out until fireworks at 9:30.  Our house is at the prime location.  We can sit at the greenbelt/park and see them over the freeway at tumble weed only 1/2 mile away.  Pretty sure that is the latest B & Zach have ever stayed up, B did fall asleep on Jason in the middle of it, but woke up during the finale.
