Baptism and Father's Day

Miss Hadley got baptized on Father's Day.  For Baptism Hadley wore the same dress that both my sister and I wore.  My mom has had it under her bed for 30 years.  When we pulled it out it had yellowed a little and the elastic was out in the sleeves.  But, we all know Nana D.W. is amazing with washing and stains (among lots of other things).  A little oxyclean later it was as white as it was brand new and she had someone she knew fix the elastic.  Hadley also had a gold braclet on her wrist.  Sara and I also wore it for out baptsim as well, however, it was origanlly Nana V.P.'s braclet that she got from her grnadparents when she was a baby.  The braclet is over 80 years old and has stayed safe in the safety deposit box since we wore is 30 years ago.  It was a wonderful day we got to spend with family.  We had so many family members join us a church to witness the baptism and then had a nice lunch at our house afterwards.

Grandma Voss even came down from Colorado for 2 weeks.  It was so wonderful having her here, she is always so much fun.  She came over to our house a few days from dinner, we went to the park and we even went to the casino one night.  Thought we should have a belated birthday celebration for my 30th and her 75th.  It was great!!

When I look at you being a dad to our children,
my heart swells with gratitude and pride,

I find myself sitting in a corner, admiring you be your natural self,
being in your comfort zone of daddy hood.

I feel so blessed to have a husband like you
I am so thankful that my children are blessed
with a father as caring, thoughtful, and supportive as you

It must be Our Heavenly Father looking out for me.
He knew we would compliment each other
so he blessed us with each other

I want to thank you for always putting our children's interest first!

What's been happening!

I have had a lot of good intentions to blog.  But, I just can't find the time to do it.  The minute I get a second, someone needs something, I have church work to do, or I realize I am too tired and bed would be a better option.   The month has been crazy, but amazing!  We feel so happy and blessed (and tired)!  I feel like I have been kinda bad about taking pictures, but life is a lot different with 2.  Especially the crazy 2 year old I chase around because he loves his little sister a little too much.  He loves and kisses her to the point of smothering!  I am glad he doesn't hate her, but man he wants to know where she is and be by her all the time.  I guess we will see how long that last.  My bet is until she is mobile and starts touching his stuff!  For now he willingly share and often piles her high with toys!!
Her are some pictures to recap our month!

Jason was able to stay home with us the first week.
Brayden was given Hadley a check up

Sleeping babies are too cute!  We keep her in headbands because she will like them! :-)

 Loves her binky!

Cousins: Zach 5, Brayden 2, Drew 10 months, Hadley 5 days

Impromptu Mother's Day Photo, can you tell?

 Sharing his trains

Working on the church bulletin with my little helper sleeping

 Love this outfit!!

 First bath

 Lots of kisses from B

We went to run a few errands and the mall, both kids fell asleep.  So, Jason and I went to lunch, the both stayed sleeping the entire time.  It was a great lunch outside on our last 85 degree day.  It was AWESOME!

 Smiling while she dreams

Loved sleeping on her tummy.  Don't worry it was just a nap and I was sitting next to her!!
(Don't judge)

We went to Walmart (mistake 1)  with 4 kids and 3 adults. Really pretty good odds.  It got a little crazy since we were approaching nap time.  Long story short, Brayden ran head first into the corner of a cart

 Pretty girl!

We went to church for me to get my work done.  2 minutes after walking in the door, Brayden flipped off a toy horse in the nursery.  Rug burn on his noise and 2 teeth marks in his lip.  Oh and this was 3 days after his Walmart accident.  He is all boy!!!!

One Month Old

Miss Hadley Renae is one month old!  The weeks have flown by quickly and it is hard to believe that she is 1 month old already!  We are definitely learning to adjust to being a family of 4.  Having 2 is a lot different than having 1, I don't get a chance to sit down in the quiet very often, but I love it!  One of these days there schedules will have them both napping at the same time.  For now, I get some great one on one time with each.

Hadley loves her milk! She eats every 3 hours on the money and has been gaining about a pound a weak.  We took her in for her 1 month check up and she was 11 lbs 2 oz and 21 and 3/4 inches.  Such a big girl!

Overall, Hadley is a great baby.  She has a sensitive tummy like her brother, so my diet is pretty restricted.  As long as I don't eat anything she doesn't like, she is a happy girl.  But even when she has tummy troubles she doesn't cry, but grunts.  This little girl grunts when her tummy hurts, when she is falling asleep, and when she is hungry.  She only cries when one of those things is "really bad".  Everyone says how cute and funny her little grunting noises are.  I think so too, until about 3am, then I just want it to stop! :-)  But, it is better than screaming.

We love her and are so glad that she is finally here.  The whole family is glad to add a little girl to the mix and my mom, sister, and I love dressing her and putting bows in her hair!
