Preschool

After some long talks and prayer, Jason and I decided to send Brayden to preschool this year.  It will be so good for him.  He is my gentle soul and holds back when it comes to playing with kids and making new friends.  He loves to play with kids but doesn't want to be a bother. He will wait around for somebody to ask him to play, then all is well.  Hopefully there will be some other gentle souls in the class for him to play with.

Monday we went to open house/meet the teacher.  Brayden was excited and I love his teacher.  She seems very sweet and I am even happier about our decision now that I have met her.  Yesterday was the first day.  We made a big deal about it the night before, we had some new school books to read before bed, and we had confetti from the teacher for under his pillow. When he woke up Tuesday morning we got ready and had a special first day of school breakfast at Brunchies.  Daddy even stayed home from work to spend the day with all of us.  I asked B how he felt about school, his response was, " I'm excited and a lil' nervous", I was thinking, me too buddy! At 9 o clock we were waiting outside the door for Mrs. Delongchamp.  She greeted each kids with a hug, and had them go hang up their backpacks.  I signed Brayden in and waited for him to hang up his backpack.  He came back and looked a little nervous.  I gave him a hug and told him he would have a great day.  The boy behind me was crying as his mom left.  I asked Brayden if he wanted to play with Alec cause he was a little sad.  "Yea, Mommy, but will you come with me."  So we went and asked Alec to play lego.  I left Brayden leading his little friend to the Lego table. So sweet.  I walked out a little teary.  When did he get so big?  We came back and he was sitting on the rug next to Alec, waving, and waiting for his turn to get his backpack.  He had an awesome first day, and is excited to go back!  I asked him what he did and he told me, "I will tell you when we get home" and he did.  This is going to be a great year!
