A Beautiful Weekend!

It was a perfect weekend and the weather was amazing.   I'm a little sad that it is January and this warm, but we did enjoy it.  Hopefully it will cool down again soon.

We had out first family outing to the zoo on Saturday.  I haven't been in 10 years and Jason doesn't remember.  It was a lot of fun, that place is soooo much bigger than I remember, we must have skipped a lot.  Brayden just sat in the stroller and took it all in, we even had a picnic lunch while we were there.  However we started with the smaller animals and Brayden had no idea what to look at; by the time we got to the big animals he had fallen alseep.  We know for next time.  It was a fun few hours with just the three of us.

Sunday Jason and I drove to Tucson to see Wicked.  It was my Christmas present and it was amazing as always.  I think Jason got it for me because a) he know I love it and b) he has never seen it and used my Christmas present as an excuse to buy tickets.  It was fun getting to go on a little day trip.  We were gone for about 8 hours and it was nice just being the two of us.

Monday we went for a late breakfast with the Hache's and then geocaching.  We got 15 in 3.5 hours.  It was great and we got to spend the day outside again with B in his stroller.  He really is a good sport and goes with the flow.

Brayden turned 9 months last Wednesday and I took him in for his check up.  He is overall in the 89%, 23 pounds 3 ounces and 29 inches long.  He is more and more and MORE active everyday.  It is crazy how much he changes in a month.  During the last month he learned to walk and is getting so steady and will be running soon I'm sure.  He has also started talking.  He says "hi" to everybody and anybody, mama and dada to the correct person, "ow" as he hits Zach and sometimes just because, aw dune (all done) when he wants out of his high chair, and tries to copy other words to.  It's super fun and cute.

All I can say is LUCKY!!! about the Wicked tickets. I am dying to see it!

I am glad you had so much fun! We love the zoo too (the kids and I...Dusty of course is allergic to the animal dander)! When B gets a little bigger, he will love all of the splash ads as well!
