Back to San Diego

I know if have said it before, but someday I shall live in San Diego.  I LOVE it there.  My number 1 place to visit hands down.  Perfect weather, the ocean, and only a few hour drive or 56 min flight. Perfect!  Having said that it seems only fitting that we went back for fall break.  Not only did we want to use our Sea World tickets again but I have 4 amazing reasons to go back more now.  Sara, Paulo, Flora, and Elena.  Sara is my oldest and dearest friend.  We starting having sleepovers in 1st grade.  Went to school together K-12th grade, and after living in Michiagan and Atlanta for the last 12 years, she is close enough for me to see more often.  It is great!  We had an amazing long weekend with our families.  It was one big sleepover and I loved every minute.  Kids played together great, husbands got along great, and every time we hangout it is like I saw her yestersday.  I feel so blessed to have such a great friend who knows me too well! :-)  Needless to say San Diego was great and I can't wait to go back again!

They love each other

They really do.  At times I think B might drive Hadley crazy, but the older they are getting the more they play together, love on each other, and miss the other one when they are a part.  It had been so nice that they weather has been changing.  Just being under 100 is a blessing.  We have been having fun and staying busy.  Here is some of the stuff we have been up to....

Making homemade pizza's

 Painting Pumpkins

 Reading in B's bed.
B's was reading in his room one day while Hadley was playing.  I was putting laundry away.  I went to check on the kids and H had crawled into B's bed and we has putting the covers on her when I walked in, so sweet. They stayed there listening to his book for a good 5 min until she was bored.

 Busy playing

Just an update

Well, I realized that I haven't blogged in a few weeks, but I also haven't taken pictures much either.  I guess after being home for 3 year, the mundane isn't as photogenic as it once was or I already have lots of pictures of stuff we do already.  The kids are getting bigger and have learned to play by themselves and together better....most days.  We went camping again and I love to hate it, but we go! :-)  Brayden is loving preschool, and I am loving having some one on one with Hadley.  I forgot how nice it is to shop with only one child. :-)  We eat, play, and sleep (most nights).  I am so thankful that I can stay home and am blessed with 2 happy and healthy kids; I just forget to take photos of it.

Now we are looking forwarded to going back to San Diego in 3 weeks.  We are going back to Sea World and spending the weekend with my oldest and dearest friend and her family.  I am so excited to spend time with them as we live in their house.  Sara and I have had hundreds of sleep overs.  Now we get to do it with our husbands and kids.  SOOO excited.

If you didn't notice I added a new ticker under Jason and my wedding photo.  If you can't tell by how long we have to wait, I am excited.  Jason and I are going to New York for our 5 year anniversary.  Just the 2 of us for 4 nights and 5 days in the big apple!  Grandma and Grandpa Bolkema got us a time share just 2 blocks from Time Square.  I have already marked a tone of things I want to do on trip advisor,  and by the looks of it we are not going to sleep much.  And in May you WILL see me on the Today Show, that is my #1 priority!!  :-)

That's about all the stuff happening her at the Voss'.  Hadley did get her first haircut this week,  Her baby mullet and uneven hair was driving me crazy.  So I took her to an overpriced cutesy place and got the WHOLE package.  Pictures, certificate, and a lock of hair.  Totally worth it!!  B came along and enjoyed checking out the over the top place.  Poor boy only gets a stool in our bathroom and his daddy cutting his hair. :-)

I will be back after we go to San Diego.......
