Veggie Tales
Brayden loves Veggie Tales. We usually watch it when he has his bottle in the morning and before we go upstairs at night. You say veggie tales and he starts to stomp his foot. It is too cute. Love this boy. I got it on video the other day, not his best rendition but you can get the idea. :-)

1st Birthday
Brayden turned 1 last week, it is so hard to believe that he is now a toddler. We feel so blessed to be able to call him ours. He has such a sweet personality and is so much fun.
We started the celebration on his actual birthday the 12th. The immediate family headed to Joe's Farm Grill. Out families went there after I had him last year when they left the hospital. I thought since we "weren't invited" last time, we would all go this year. It was a beautiful night and as always, great food. We even had some cake. We practiced blowing out the candle and he did it the first time, he said more and wanted to do it again so we lit it, however, he leaned to close put it out with his head and cried. :-( You can see the hot wax and red spot on his head in the picture.
I have included lots of picture for all to enjoy.
Then on Saturday we had a safari family and friends party at our house. It was a way to celebrate and thank all those important people in our lives during this first year of his life. Such a great day.
I should mention that Jason, my dad, and my FIL spent the Saturday before, when it was in the 40's and raining, laying pavers for our new patio. They worked 13 hours and it turned out beautiful.

Botanical Gardens
We headed out to the botanical gardens the last week of March and the weather was perfect. We wanted to go before it was to hot and while we could see the butterflies. It was a great day to spend the morning with some of the fam. I have to say I am not a fan of flying things, I know they are butterflies, but I do not like things flying or landing on me. Good thing they stayed away, but they loved Papa.
