Preschool

After some long talks and prayer, Jason and I decided to send Brayden to preschool this year.  It will be so good for him.  He is my gentle soul and holds back when it comes to playing with kids and making new friends.  He loves to play with kids but doesn't want to be a bother. He will wait around for somebody to ask him to play, then all is well.  Hopefully there will be some other gentle souls in the class for him to play with.

Monday we went to open house/meet the teacher.  Brayden was excited and I love his teacher.  She seems very sweet and I am even happier about our decision now that I have met her.  Yesterday was the first day.  We made a big deal about it the night before, we had some new school books to read before bed, and we had confetti from the teacher for under his pillow. When he woke up Tuesday morning we got ready and had a special first day of school breakfast at Brunchies.  Daddy even stayed home from work to spend the day with all of us.  I asked B how he felt about school, his response was, " I'm excited and a lil' nervous", I was thinking, me too buddy! At 9 o clock we were waiting outside the door for Mrs. Delongchamp.  She greeted each kids with a hug, and had them go hang up their backpacks.  I signed Brayden in and waited for him to hang up his backpack.  He came back and looked a little nervous.  I gave him a hug and told him he would have a great day.  The boy behind me was crying as his mom left.  I asked Brayden if he wanted to play with Alec cause he was a little sad.  "Yea, Mommy, but will you come with me."  So we went and asked Alec to play lego.  I left Brayden leading his little friend to the Lego table. So sweet.  I walked out a little teary.  When did he get so big?  We came back and he was sitting on the rug next to Alec, waving, and waiting for his turn to get his backpack.  He had an awesome first day, and is excited to go back!  I asked him what he did and he told me, "I will tell you when we get home" and he did.  This is going to be a great year!

Ready for School

 Waiting for his pancakes
Little chat with his daddy before we went inside

He even had a little treat for his teacher!
(cookies from Paradise Bakery with a little note:
I am going to be one smart cookie with you as my teacher)

15 months old

The time is flying by!  I can't believe lil miss is already 15 months old.  She is a sweet and sassy little girl.  Just the other day, I was looking at her and she looked like a toddler.  She is no longer my baby, even though B still calls her baby all the time. :-)  Hadley's personality is really starting to show and I need to watch out for this one.  She is goofy, silly, funny, sweet, and if you mess with her toys, food, or do something she doesn't like, watch out.  This girl will hold her own against the 3 bigger boys.  Hadley is very different from Brayden.  She is a great sleeper, sleeps at 10-11 hours at night and takes 1 2-3 hour nap during the day.  She will eat ANYTHING!  It is so nice to make 1 meal for all 4 of us.  B didn't start eating everything until last year.  So love watching this crazy girl get bigger.

My little helpers.
(This only lasted a few minutes more, Hadley fell over on Brayden, Brayden grabbed the bowl full of buttermilk and egss, and we had a MESS! )

Fudgsicle, think she liked it?

Can't stay dirty.  This girl loves washing her hands!
Watch out Drew, here she comes!  (She is  yell jabbering at him and he is whining for help)
Funny stuff, wish I had a video)
This is what the boys always do......

KOHL'S RANCH

We got to spend 2 weekends this summer just outside of Payson with Jason's family.  The first weekend was in June and we had great weather, went fishing, played in the creek, and enjoyed hanging out outside.  We just got back from our second weekend.  The weather was warmer and very humid, and we did get thunderstorms every day. But we still got to do some fishing and playing.

June trip to the lake for some fishing

Oh how this boy loves Uncle Davis!
Playing in the creek and looking for crawdads

It was back to the creek for some fishing with Daddy and Uncle Jay.
Our cabins were great; I took these pictures from the back porch

Everyone watching the fisherman, who had no luck

All Brayden wanted to do was catch a fish.  So after two attempts with no luck, we took him up the road to the fish farm.  He was so excited.  We baited the hook, dropped it in, and fish bit immediately.  He pulled the pole, the fish was squirming, splashed him, and he stayed away the rest of the time.  Ugh.
So, mommy caught the first fish.  And I got a "you did a great job Mommy, I am so proud of you for getting that fish, thanks Mom".  I do what I can! :-)

What your learn at Sesame Street

We are trying to get our monies worth out of the passes we bought for the Science Center.  But being we got 8 passes for a year for 30 bucks and we have gone 3 times I would say we are doing pretty good.  But this time we got to got to go to Sesame Street.  Brayden has been asking for days to go.  He sees commercials on PBS and asked when we get to go.  Mind you it has only been open 2.5 weeks, but we finally went.  And we got go with some of our favorite people!

We had 5 adults to help monitor these 7 cuties (6,4,3,3,2,1.5,1)
Hadley could follow Zach around all day

 So busy

They could have watched Nana's pennies roll all day!
